The unfavorable ecological conditions and periodical drought is one of the main reasons of vulnerability of these rural districts. The Khoor village also located in desert region of Iran and influenced from these conditions and it feels to be noticed much for its valuable historical texture because the rural tourism beside the maintenance of the historic buildings, can provide the external secondary incomes to rural family members and path the way for economic grows. This paper with the aim of the inspection of the role of tourism role in village development has accomplished the capacities of tourism in Khoor village with the emphasis of SWOT model. This research from the aim aspect is applicable and is descriptive-analytic from the methodological domain. From field inspections, about 30 percentages of the family residents of the Khoor village of 50 family members and also some experts in tourism field has been selected. The results of the study shows that the existence of the historic attractions and traditional texture in Khoor village with local management control and the cooperation of the villagers specifically the women in developing the manufacturing activities-handcrafts and so on and providing the demanded services for tourists can bring about the background for rural developments
